Microsoft is investigating an IE [a href="http://secunia.com/advisories/16480"]security bug[/a] amid fears that a hacker attack based on the vulnerability is imminent. A flaw in Microsoft DDS Library Shape Control COM object (msdds.dll) is at the centre of the security flap.

"Microsoft has criticised the "irresponsible" way the vulnerability came to light."

The vulnerability would have been kept quiet by Microsoft forever if they hadn't been forced to admit/disclose it.

No patch is available but Microsoft has posted a bulletin detailing possible workarounds..........etc etc

Use of an alternative browser (such as Firefox, Opera) is also an option.

which is just bullshit they never said such a thing and never would.
