First off, kudos to Fernando Gont for doing this research, and coming up with some interesting conclusions. The reality of it though is that attack is very much in line with the TCP reset attack that was highlighted at Cansecwest in 2004. What they both have in common is that while technically possi...

Fantastic Research by Fernando Gont!, Though this might make an impact, TCP RST attacks were much more serious and had an immediate and direct effect on the Internet's Backbone , essentially BGP.

I feel this too has a potential if handled by the eliteScripters on future variants of Self Replicatin...

I have to say that if the TCP RST attack was all that effective then it would have been put into use a while ago. Things are never all that easy really when it comes to these types of attacks. Even less so when you are talking about BGP. How many routers can one attacker target after all? There are ...

1) Is it necessary?

2) Is it vulnerable?

1) If you don't need it, you shouldn't have it. Extra "features" are what get us into trouble by adding more areas for exploitat...

I believe as a Power User and free lance programmer, is these issues need to be addressed early in the industry before services are too dependent on technogly that has serous flaws that haven't been addressed. We should be serous in considering all threats, grant there are more threats to Computers ...

I don't care about how many pleople understands or not the entire scope of this problem, But I can't accept why companies, vendors, security related researchers, etc refuses to accept this as a real problem considering this guy's draft, in wich he propose the SOLUTION to this.

Coming from them, I...
