OK, this raises a valid point, but what is the best practice solution? Surely it isn't the sticky note in this day and age. What about password managers that encrypt your passwords and require you to only memorize one? Or Biometrics which esentially do the same thing only with a personal touch ;-...

I found no other way then using a password manager myself. Single point of failure instaid of many. Not a bad trade of if you know what you are doing....

Absolutely! I've seriously thought about hanging neon-orange Post-It notes from my monitor, one per password, as a form of existential protest. I am so utterly fed up with the insanity!

(or any of several other similar tools, although IMHO Password Safe is the best). It's basically an encrypted database, strongly encrypted under a single well-chosen master password, and with an interface ...
