I just found a freeware to remotely uninstall Skype on a whole network.

It is called SkypeKiller and works like a breeze: it automatically detects all Skype installations, allows you to select computers on which Skype is to be removed and do the job.

You can even schedule automatic SkypeKiller...

Interesting idea.

But to inform the more ignorant this problem has nothing to do with Skype other than the email pretends to be a Skype upgrade to the latest version. There is no need to remove Skype from your system even if you have installed the trojan. The two are not associated.

Why does everything think its part of skype? Skype is a VoIP service. The trojan makes a note with skype to persaude users to download.

This is not a skype problem but rather a virus/trojan creator using the goodwill of the people....
