Trusted computing could possibly shield against the worst traditional attacks. But it could also introduce problems that if the TPM is targetted for explotation as protection for evil purposes.

That was the problem of the Sony Rootkit... It just helped bad people to hide bad things on computers,...

Trusted Computing is presented by the Trusted Computing Group as a security tecnology. But it is a intrusive tecnology based on cryptographic data encryption whose private key is controlled by someone else than the legitimate system owner. So the owner do not have the full control of his system.

Interesting, but isn't that why we have MAC addresses on network cards? Yes, you might say, but MAC addresses can be spoofed and you would be correct. But by adding another identification method to devices, you would just add another number/method that can be spoofed and therefore the Trusted Mode...
