HP's Dunn to step down amidst hacking scandal

Hewlett-Packard announced on Tuesday that Chairwoman Patricia Dunn would step down early next year to be replaced by CEO Mark Hurd, amidst calls by critics for her resignation and increasing scrutiny of the tactics used by investigators to track down a media leak on the board.

No body, in any recent article on this topic that I've yet read, EVER mentions that this IS explicitly illegal activity (not just in California) as shown here:

Stepping out of the line of fire is more like it.

She's staying in place on the board, where she can pull Hurd's strings and wield as much power as before. Only she'll be much less visible next time.

This is just another "pretext" - gaming the media and shareholders this time.
