This has nothing to do with a flaw in IE, but ActiveX. Any vulnerability in Windows that doesn't deal with IE, itself, does an "end-run around IE security"....

better not link threatcon to these bugs, that would make level 1 meaningless.

anyway, now it is 2...

the endless list of bugs plagueing IE, ActiveX and other Micro$oft components confirm the broken design which is in place.

But fundamentally, this vulnerability has existed for years, and has almost certainly been used for years.

Only now has a security company found the bug, and told Microsoft. Once again hackers, and prople at a (small) security company can easily outsmart the worlds richest company, and show hundre...
