Vulnerability tallies surged in 2006

Flaws in Web applications boosted the bug counts for 2006 by more than a third over the previous year, according to data obtained by SecurityFocus from the four major vulnerability databases.

I did a quick search in the National Vulnerability Database on the number of vulnerabilities in Mac OSX and Windows XP. There was an interesting result. For the first time that I am aware of Max OSX had more High rated vulnerabilities than Windows XP. There were 28 Highs for OSX and 23 Highs for ...
