Wow, this is crazy! How many millions of xbox live subscribers are there? Complaints about 12 accounts sounds like this is a serious and emerging issue!

I hope this never becomes a worm.

I would like to hear what Gadi has to say about the potential size of new botnets this could create.

C...

The more I play the more I get cheated yeah but for some reason it seems like I get cheated more right after I get onl...

Generally if they are real hackers or infamous members they use a password recovery tool for the email address that they obtain either through x box support or from the actual tag owner programs like cain and able but the new thing is host booting spreading trojan viruses to as many people as possib...

THis is just great. Having paid for Xbox Live and Halo 2, not only do we have to put up with continual and excessive cheating, now we run the risk of being victims of online fraud. Between, bridging, modding and standbying, these games are already fully exploited by cheats to the point its hardly...

I'm not really sure if there was any factual information about anything, but this seems to be a blog regarding someone poor at Halo.

Some people are just very good, they look like cheaters. Others are cheaters, neither has anything to do with accounts. The author doesn't know that his account wa...

Good game reading skills. Someone else was logged onto his account.

Finisterre did not put much store in the threat until the next day, when he found his girlfriend's account--which he had been using the day before--kicked off the system with a message that someone else was using her gamer tag on...

This is related to security news in every sense. This is a case of identity theft. Notice how these guys keep bragging about jacking the player's CC numbers? How's that any different than stealing a MySQL database full of cards?...

I have believed there is a problem with Xbox Live subscriptions for some time due to the sheer volume of traffic and commenters hitting my blog on an entry I made about Xbox Live subscriptions last June. Read a few comments, you'll see this problem isn't isolated to Kevin.

Sounds like the percentage of accounts being stolen is very, very, low... I bet this Kevin dude probably told them his name at least, who knows what other info he gave them or what was linked via his Blog and where his Gamertag was mentioned online....

So this guys are stealing accounts, charging credit cards and stuff. They are either controlling the box or controlling ms networks. Or maybe neither! Maybe they are paying other people to complain and act like "someone stole their account" to make ms a bad name. Maybe Sony? Or maybe not! Maybe it w...
