Kaspersky exposes sensitive database, says hacker

A security lapse at Kaspersky has exposed a wealth of proprietary information about the anti-virus provider's products and customers, according to a blogger, who posted screen shots and other details that appeared to substantiate the claims.

How come a major security company doesn't use an application firewall to protect its web accessible resources? Every available application firewall would have prevented that vulnerability from being exploited....

I've been registered with them for a couple of years, now they have blacklisted a legitimate key that has been listed on their company site for over a year, scamming me out of almost 100 days. Was this a knee jerk reaction to this situation? Or was them getting hacked a well orchestrated attack for ...
