A 14-year veteran of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) who fled to Mexico to avoid federal computer crime charges was sentenced in a federal court in Los Angeles on Monday to 27 months in prison for selling information on private citizens he plundered from sensitive law enforcement databases.

I think this is a total sham...IT disgusts me to the nth degree that a federal law enforcement agent would breach his duties and provide this information. And with only a 2year measly sentence...Can you say commute? I am sure that the money he earned is sitting is some bank in belieze and accruing...

5yrs. & $5,000 fine is all that the punishment is for this crime. Granted he did not get 60mos., but consider the 6mos. spent as a fugitive and the trial. I am sure he is sorry for his crime. Especially if $22.5k is all that changed hands.. (what a sucker.)
