PayPal users are once again the targets of a hit-and-run e-mail scam aimed at conning them out of their personal and financial information.

I got a email the other week like this. I pointed the form to the url at http://64.143.75.198/cgi-local/s.cgi

I had some fun and using ab sent 10,000 requests with random info to there cgi script.

The site is still there but the cgi is not....

I've received the PayPal email a few times now, but I just received one "from eBay". It prompts for a user name and pwd and directs to http://bethlehem.hostgo.com/suspended.page/

Fun. I'm just waiting for my mom to get one of these.

If you reply to the email it goes to "service (at) paypall (dot) com [email concealed]" which is clearly not paypal. They send me emails twice a day but I haven't given them any information. Paypal would never need your ATM pin or routing number. I closed my Paypal account months ago and still receive emails from this scam a...

I just had the same thing happen to me. I ended up having to close my visa card. Don't reply to the email. I called paypal and they advised me to forward the email to spoof (at) paypal.com.. (dot) . [email concealed]

I was just the target of a brand NEW scam - an automated phone call supposedly from Pay Pal asking about a "suspicious transaction". I hung up and contacted Pay Pal who confirmed they had not placed such a call. Infuriating to have to be so suspicious constantly !...

I have seen a growing increase of these emails and I'm quite surprise that there isn't any alerts being sent to the people who has a paypal account. I have reported this matter to several authorities but imagine that nothing will be done. It appears that most of the fraudulent websites are outside...
