A newly-discovered vulnerability in the 802.11 wireless standard allows attackers to jam wireless networks within a radius of one kilometre using off-the-shelf equipment.

This flaw is not new by any means. A usenix paper was published over a year ago on it, however its been around longer than that.

Put into practice, its not a very effective DoS....

I'm pretty sure everyone who knew anything about 802.11 knew from the start that it could be trivially jammed.

Even if you aren't technically inclined, you can still tell that there's the potential for jamming when your card doesn't work while another appliance is plugged-in, and reports of tha...
