German hate mail spam attack stuns experts

Mailboxes in Germany and the Netherlands were flooded yesterday with spam containing German right-wing propaganda. Spammers used the Sober.G virus - a mass mailing worm that sends itself to email addresses harvested from infected computers - to spread their messages as widely as possible.

They didn't hit only Germany and the Netherlands. I received a big ball of this stuff here in Indiana, US. I read German just well enough to understand that it was nothing I cared to read about, and I trashed the lot....

The ISC ( http://isc.sans.org ) captures a Sober variant which is responsible for this spam. The virus includes the text for all messages, so it does not require central control....

So, Germans are forced to use spam to speak

their mind about foreigners. Says something

about the freedom of speech in Germany (and possibly European Union)....

It's rather the opposite - western european men flood eastern europe looking for females.

After looking at women on both sides of the Iron Curtain it is quite easy to understand why they do it, but then stop whining about the immigration !...

I received about 4000+ of these mails on my catch all address....
