I am glad that finally DDoS attacks benefit the general public. Double-Click and Akamai serve up pop-ups and annoying ads that most users are glad to have gone. I use 'Firefox' to do what this DDoS did, but that does it all the time with AdBlock....

i'm agree with you, net users are upset because there's too many popups spy or adware. That's the job of doubleclick to protect us against them otherwise... we must attack ... Using any spyblaster is a worry... a shame

Doubleclick might do well to beef up their DNS servers. All four are located in the continental U.S. They could consider switching to anycast like ultradns.net and some of the root servers....

I'd say it's poor browser design. Netscape used to give cute little broken icons to content that timed out. Maybe newer browsers don't draw the page at all? I have noticed that Opera won't display the page at all, if some lame adserver is timing out....

this attack that took out 90% of the internet, only targeted the ads that slow my internet use daily. doubleclick is a name that I see daily when my spyware cleans my computer of unwanted advertising. hooray for some hackers,...
