First, I knew that Blue Frog would draw fire from the spammer community and probably meet such an end.

Second, when I read the Blee Security site had been attacked and brought down, I was certain that this technology would be reborn as an open source P2P project.

A: it would be great for Joe Jobs as well: the spammer uses it to DOS his competition.

B: The "Reverse engineer the list and then attack the users" still works.

C: Don't get me started on attacks on P2P systems.

I wish them luck, but I wouldn't count on it being a success under attack...

D. They mention only having a few hurdles, like preventing spammers from abusing the system. Uh, good luck with that.

E. Assuming it does not prevent abuse of the P2P system, they will be releasing a monster. It is hard enough to update a server-centric architecture....

A: it is not useful for DOS purposes - bandwidth limited

B: The spammers already have the bits of the list they get sent

C: Better for this purpose than a centralised service
