How come it's always the antivirus vendor sponsoring this kind of report? I guess with Microsoft Vista and its kernel protection, I would like to find new customers for my security products too....

Although this is a good read, it really doesn't offer anything useful. It is really a compilation of google searches and white-papers. It's good to see the awareness coming of age in the OSX arena. Not to mention, Symantec now has made an official position known...(I think) ...

Wow, if a couple of years of exploits can be *detailed* in 29 pages, then this seems like a VERY secure operating system.

If the same multi-year, detailed evaluation were performed for Windows, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, or other operating system, it would be significantly thicker than 29 pages. Windows...

They should simply make a NDIS firewall... unless they did it this year, it isnt... how funny for a security company.

Nonethless, Symantec sec. release interesting papers, like the Vista's discussion....
