These laws protect nobody, see the following:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16020117/

These feel good laws are all for votes and do not protect anyone, just ask a professional.

If you look through this sites statistics, you statements have been shown to be correct.

http://www.csom.org/

The thing I like about this site is it pulls its information from so many organizations and goverment groups that actually work with both real sex offenders and those caught in an ever...

This is one of the worst ideas ever. It will generate a huge load of work for ISPs and the government with no tangible benefit. I would liken it to the TSA's watch list. Sure, they'll have a list of names, but it won't mean anything. What's to stop a pedophile from just using a different name on...

Ahhh...OK. I've got several email addresses, on yahoo, msn, AOL, gmail, my work email, my IP email, hotmail, and probably two or three more I don't even use. IN addition, I have cell phone texting, PDA contact with the Internet, and even my freakin' TV has an Internet address. My wife has a bunch...

The most ridiculous thing to come along in......well OK so it hasn't been that long. A new sex offender law comes around about once a week.

Anybody want to ask Hemanshu Nigam what he's doing about getting rid of the kids with MySpace accounts in direct violation of their TOS because they are only 8...

Law Enforcement can?t even keep track of all the physical addresses let alone keep the information on the current registries up to date and accurate. Now we?re going to add email addresses? Many times an offender isn?t the only one in the home using an IP address. So what? Now anyone sharing a...

In that state, public urination is classified as "indecent exposure" and is therefore considered a "sex crime" and ...

Although those of us outside the US are used to hearing about stupid ideas from US politicians to grab votes, this has to be the most badly thought out one yet.

The ease of registering just about any e-mail address or IM under any name, using any IP address is vastly easier than faking your posta...
