The 26.5 million military identities seems wrong to me.

China's military peaked at around 5mil a few years ago, before they underwent some trimming; and the US was never that big.

26.5 million military members would make around 9% of the US in the military. Even 2.65 million would be very hig...

Remember this was Veterans Affairs so you are talking about people who have served over the history of the US military not just active members....
