As the example shows it does not really matter if the password is 1234 or something long and complicated if you transfer it unencrypted or from unsecure computers....

This is BS. At US government networks would _NOT_ have classified info on email servers or in email at all....

Guys like this give hackers a bad name. He didn't notify them because he didn't believe they would listen??? Even so, it is the responsible thing to do. Notify them first and keep an audit trail to CYA....
