I wanted to respond to this comment with two points.

1) As the news editor of SecurityFocus, I'm a freelancer and not a Symantec employee. Whenever we mention SecurityFocus's parent company in a news article, I believe we are obligated to also disclose that Symantec owns SecurityFocus.
