i guess this means if any of us can GUESS someones security answers we're automatically hackers. what the fsck is wrong with these political airheads. The kid used his brain, unlike the other 90% of America, too bad he didn't find anything interesting to post, would have been great seeing what happ...

CYberhedz, so if it is easy to gain unauthorized access to someone's email, it is no longer a crime? The point is the kid entered her account with out authorization which is a violation of the following; Criminal Use of Computer (AS 11.46.740. )--Alaska stat law...

Being *able* to break into Sarah Palin's email account:

Priceless.

Not having the brains to realize that *actually* breaking into her account is against the law (and then even take it a step further and publicly posting information that isn't yours!):

Pleading not-guilty? 2008-10-10

At first it seemed interesting that he would plead not-guilt, but after thinking about it, it makes sense. All he had to do was wipe/destroy his hard drive, and there would hardly be a case for the prosecution. There is plenty of plausible deniability and reasonable doubt in computer "hacking" cases...

Used his head..? Not really. He didn't cover his tracks very well, and all this for what? Nothing! The kid said it himself, that he found nothing interesting. If that was the case, then he should of kept quite about it, and waited for something juicy. Unfortunately he'll probably get off easy since ...

It's such a shame when a stupid kid can sit at a computer and punch in a few answers for a public figure on a public website, then end up with $250,000 and five years in prison.

It's freaking Yahoo! mail, not the Pentagon. The punishment clearly doesn't justify the crime....

"We would like to thank all of the internet service providers and others who partnered with us to bring this matter to a quick and successful resolution."

A quick google for "rubico10" turns up this page: http://rubico10.newgrounds.com/reviews/flash/responses where a review is signed "David".

Agreed, though that information needs to be backed up by hard evidence, as I'm sure you know that website and all it's content could be spoofed pretty easily. An elite hacker could of setup this kid up... Though I doubt it!...
