Someone once asked Pable Picasso which one of his many paintings was his favorite. His reply: the next one. Ask Steve Ballmer which version of Windows is the most secure and guess what his answer will be?

This is a really lame article written by a 'MS fan'
U still can use the words 'secure' and 'windows' in just one soley sentence: 'Windows is NOT secure'
It may be right, that Blaster and Sasser only were that 'successful' because of admins not updating their windows. It is also true, that if u i...

MS doesnt have a decade. Even now we are seeing the beginning of the end much like Aston-Tate. With linux and now Apple on Intel chips and Long horn at least a year a half out, MS has serious issues. If Windows 2003 server is a precurser to Long Horn, the security model is going to suck. In order t...

Wow. That was sad.
So, in effect, you're saying that Microsoft's incompetent coding is a *good thing*?
"My mother-in-law talks about firewalls. My neighbor can now use the word phishing in a sentence. And the other day I overheard my son explaining to his younger brother the evils of spyware....

Fantastic review! The fact remains that Microsoft is embedded into computing.Unspecialized/Naive users are not even aware that they have a number of options to choose from, with a little learning/change,which no one is comfortable with.As a result,we as administrators are left with only one option,and...

This article is REALLY slanted. The blame for the MS security fixes fall squarely on the shoulders of MS and almost no one else. If the coders who write ATM software took this guys advice, then older ATMs we be easy to hack since security was not so important back a few years ago.

I'm not an MS fan. But...its not like much of the Open-Source software is much more secure. I believe that MS has had/will have the most security issues because they have the largest market share. Who wants to expend the effort to break into the minority when its much more lucrative to break into ...

Even a fully patched windows machine can be cracked and not because of unknown issues, but issues which are in the public domain but remain unpatched for a lengthy amount of time.
I think once one switches from a windows server to an open source server, over coming there issues does one realise h...

People that cant make Windows secure should stick to their Linux. I've made a windows box withstand all types of attacks. Just like any OS, after the initial install is done you have to HARDEN the system. If there's no need to harden the system, then why are we making the big bucks doing so? Oth...
