For every camera/information database that exists, someone (probably several someones) is trying or will try to access it illegally.

Here in Scotland we have CCTV cameras all over our towns, hundreds of them. People don't seem to mind at all, and the truth is, nobody's watching the screens, and it's all a bit of a sham. After a year or two, the cameras start going wrong, and there isn't the money to fix em. Funny old world....

On a whole I agree that people should have privacy, but it all depends on where and prior knowledge.
The main sticking point with me is prior knowledge. If someone is going to film me, record me, monitor my actions, etc, if I am provided with prior knowledge of this, then I am *far* less bothered...
