Thanks for the interesting article, but I have a small gripe: can you please try to use more web-friendly images? The combined page weight of the two related articles came to 1.4 MB!

Remember, most of the world is still on dial-up!...

1.4 MB is not *that* much for a couple interesting articles, even if you're on 28.8 Kbps. And I doubt that "most of the world is still on dial-up"!...

Thanks for the comments. We will still try to keep the image sizes down for future articles, to make it easier for everyone to see. As a long-time broadband user, I never thought to check the size of the images. But we'll sure keep it in mind next time.
