PalmCrack

Noncon has released PalmCrack, the password testing tool for the Palm Computing Platform. Designed to help security professionals determine the strength of passwords, PalmCrack is able to check UNIX and NT passwords against a dictionary and decrypt certain Cisco router passwords. PalmCrack runs on PalmOS 2 and PalmOS 3 devices, including the PalmPilot Professional through the PalmVII and the IBM WorkPad series. It requires 31KB to 1MB of memory depending on the size of the dictionary installed.

CryptoPad is a PalmOS 2.0+ MemoPad replacement that uses the Blowfish encryption algorithm to allow for encryption of arbitrary length data with a password of up to 448 bits.

TBA, the wardialer for the Palm Computing ® Platform, is intended to make use of the portability of Palm devices while providing enough functionality to make the tool a viable option for security audits and telephony analysis. By taking advantage of the mobile platform and low cost of the Palm devices, one could: - Provide on-site and in-the-field wardialing. - Use multiple devices to shorten scan time. - Hide the device for covert operation. - Use a more dedicated platform to free up resources.

GNU Keyring lets you securely store digital secret keys on your Palm Pilot handheld computer (running PalmOS). This information might include computer account passwords, credit card numbers, GnuPG or PGP passphrases, SKey one-time-pads, or phone banking keywords. Records are protected by a password, which can be configured to expire after a while. Records are encrypted so they're safe when hotsynced to the PC.
