It can be used as a Web, DNS, e-mail, database, e-commerce, and general Internet server where security is a primary concern. IPtrap Added 2001-10-22 IPtrap listens to several TCP ports to simulate fake services (X11, Netbios, DNS, etc) . When a remote client connects to one of these ports, his IP address gets immediately firewalled and an alert is logged. It runs with iptables and ipchains, but any external script can also be launched. IPv6 is supported. Domain Walking Tool Added 2001-10-22 This simple utility is an sh(1) shell script which allows you to walk first level domains and down. Mscan Added 2001-10-22 Mscan is a collection of programs hacked together to form a fairly broad network auditing tool (scanner). It searches for a variety of problems (and in some cases exploits them) such as a named(8) overflow for Linux X86 hosts, one of the rpc.statd overflows, open Xterms, exported NFS shares, default accounts and several other items. findomains.c Added 2001-10-22 findomains.c is a simple program to find the names associated with a class C worth of IP's. Subinfo Added 2001-10-22 Subinfo is a shell script which utilizes nslookup to dump all information about a domain, and its subdomains. Zodiac Added 2001-10-22 Zodiac is a portable, extensible and multithreaded DNS tool. It is meant to be used as a DNS packet monitor and DNS protocol test and debugging tool. It's basic features are: sniffing of DNS datagrams on an ethernet device, decoding of all types of DNS packets, including safe decompression (partly finished, SOA record are, for example, not decoded yet), nice display and gui, if you like ncurses and text based frontends, always interactive in all situations through built in command line, threaded and flexible design. Advanced features include: local DNS spoof handler, jizz DNS spoof, exploiting a weakness in old bind implementations, determines jizz-weakness, id-prediction and resolver type remotely, id spoofing, exploiting a weakness in the dns protocol itself, implements some advanced DNS denial of service attacks, including flood, label compression and unres attack, advanced DNS smurf. Changes: Now runs on * BSD, and fixed some bugs DomainCheck 1.0 Added 2001-10-22 DomainCheck is a set of Perl scripts that automate domain whois queries to InterNIC, to validate the existence of lists of domains. A primary purpose of this collection is to create a list of potential domains for your company, based on keywords, then check the InterNIC database to sort out which ones are not already registered. You can generate domains based on keywords, or even all 3 letter domains. Automated registration by email is included. DNScache Added 2001-10-22 DNScache is a collection of Domain Name System tools. Security is one of the primary motivations for the development of dnscache; every step of the design and implementation has been carefully evaluated from a security perspective. The dnscache package has been structured to minimize the complexity of security-critical code. The package is modularized for easy review. Bug-prone coding practices and libraries have been systematically identified and rejected. It is possible to use the package as a secure alternative to BIND. Xwhois Added 2001-10-22 Xwhois is a small and fast X11 client for searching global Internet NIC whois databases. It's based on the GNU GTK+ GUI toolkit, features include fast internal search and support for external fwhois and whois commandline tools, whois node browser, multi-threaded object scanner and support for the new IPv6 network protocol.
