by Forix Business Solutions
The Registry Key Integrity Checker (RIC) is a utility that NT admins can use to perform integrity checking of specific NT Registry keys. Integrity checking through the use of checksums has been long used to determine whether changes have been made to system files, and it can now be used to do the same for NT Registry keys! The checksums provided an added layer of protection by not saving sensitive Registry data in text format where prying eyes can find it! By monitoring specific keys, NT admins can determine whether or not changes have been made to those keys.
