This package provides the cookie server, mail processor, and several other miscellaneous utilies that make up existing DSBL services. Ostiary Added 2004-01-07 Ostiary allows a client to run scripts on a server in a secure, authenticated manner, using an extremely simple protocol that is immune to buffer-overflow attacks. It is useful as a limited ssh/lsh replacement, or to selectively enable full remote shell access on a temporary basis. A Palm client is available. SmokePing Added 2004-01-06 SmokePing is a network latency monitor which works in a way that is similar to MRTG. It measures network latency to a configurable set of destinations on the network, and displays its findings in easy-to-read Web pages. SmokePing has special support for monitoring hosts with dynamic IP addresses. SmokePing uses RRDtool as its logging and graphing back-end, making the system very efficient. The presentation of the data on the Web is done through a CGI which creates graphs on demand. GKrellM xkb Added 2004-01-06 GKrellM xkb is a plugin for GKrellM which displays a small country flag indicating the currently-active national keyboard layout. It requires GKrellM2 and the XKB X Window extension. CalcChecksum Added 2004-01-06 CalcChecksum is a simple utility for calculating various checksums easily with a graphical user interface. libstatgrab Added 2004-01-06 The libstatgrab library provides an easy-to-use interface for accessing system statistics and information. Available statistics include CPU, Load, Memory, Swap, Disk I/O, and Network I/O. It was developed to work on Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris. The package also includes two tools: saidar provides a curses-based interface for viewing live system statistics, and statgrab is a sysctl-like interface to the statistics. ftp.proxy Added 2004-01-02 ftp.proxy is an application level gateway for FTP. It allows either forwarding to a specific host or optional client side server selection w/o allowed host list, access and command control trough external programs. ekkoBSD Firewall Added 2003-12-29 ekkoBSD Firewall is a full-featured operating system with security enhancements, a state tracking packet filter, and a NAT firewall. Its features include firewall traffic shaping, an FTP proxy, an authenticating gateway, a complete logging facility, easy management with the administration tool set, IP address pooling (common address redundancy), and a state log daemon. smtp-vilter Added 2003-12-29 smtp-vilter is a high-performance content filter for sendmail-based email servers. It is mainly meant for detecting viruses. It uses the milter API to connect to sendmail, and it can scan email messages using various backends. Jay's Iptables Firewall Added 2003-12-29 Jay's Iptables Firewall is a bash script that allows one to easily install and configure a firewall on a Linux system. It was initially written for use on a home LAN, but can be extend to any type of network. It features support for multiple (external/internal) interfaces, TCP/UDP/ICMP header control, masquerading, synflood control, spoofing control, port forwarding, (experimental) upload limits, VPNs (like vtun), ToS (bandwith managment), denying hosts, ZorbIPTraffic, Spyware list IP, log options, and more.
