It was written as a security analysis tool in perl. RelayCheck Added 2001-10-22 Relaycheck the parent of ftpcheck, relaycheck scans a network for SMTP hosts that permit "relaying" of email. These servers are vulnerable because a 3rd party could come in and use the mail server to relay mail through the server for the purpose of spamming folks. Log Check Added 2001-10-22 This script checks system log files for unusual activity and emails the result to administrators for review. Any log entry that is not expressly ignored will be reported. Based on logcheck.sh by Craig Rowland Perl CGI Checker Added 2001-10-22 A CGI vulnerability scanner written in PERL, checks for 62 CGI holes. Merlin Added 2001-10-22 Merlin is a tool which was written to correlate and manage the output from other security tools. It is written in perl, and is easily configurable to add tools, and modify its reporting formats. Pontifex Added 2001-10-22 Pontifex provides a usable version of the encryption algorithm outlined in Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon. Thanks to Counterpane Systems for the algorithm. Whisker Added 2001-10-22 Whisker is an advanced CGI vulnerability scanner. It is scriptable and has many good features, such as querying for system type and basing scans on the information gathered (ie, determining between IIS and Apache webservers) Narrow Security Scanner (Unix/Perl) Added 2001-10-22 Narrow Security Scanner 2000 (Unix /Perl) searches for 367 remote vulnerabilities. Drall Added 2001-10-22 Drall is a script which allows users to access their directories and files remotely without the need of using insecure FTP and telnet. It enables the user to treat the remote file system as if it was on their local hard disk trough a normal web browser. The interface resembles the well known Norton Commander (of DOS fame) and Midnight Commander (of UNIX fame). A dual-frame interface makes it easy to see an overview of the file system and the modular design means you only use the features you need. Drall is written in Perl for easy customization and expansion. Whisker Added 2001-10-22 Whisker is an advanced CGI vulnerability scanner. It is scriptable and has many good features, such as querying for system type and basing scans on the information gathered (ie, determining between IIS and Apache webservers) - "Multi-threaded" front end (Unix only). - More updates to server.db and scan.db. - Changed the 'set' command to take .= (append) as well. - Added multi-file scans - Changed options around. - whisker will internally 'read' the output from a .cfm script and determine if it really exists, eliminating *all* false reports. - Added support for variables and tab's, cr's, and lf's in strings. - You can now use a variable for 'server' and 'scan' matching - Scan database files don't have to be in the current directory - Whisker defaults to scan.db, so it's not required to specify -s Browse by category |
