http_filter
Added 2001-10-22
by byron jones
http_filter is an HTTP tunnel with filtering and multiplexing. It runs on a firewall, sitting in front of not-so-secure Web servers (like IIS), and it accepts requests, applies a set of rules to them, and allows the requests to be passed through to the back-end Web server only if they pass all filters. The rules can be defined globally or per-server.

Nimda Notifyer
Added 2001-10-22
by Trevor Peirce
Nimda Notifyer is a Perl script that will automatically send the netblock coordinator an email each time a specific URL is requested. This is meant to pressure system administrators who either don't care about the scanning, or those who are unaware. The default email lists 3 URLs in the email where more information can be found, and even greets recipients with their names (if listed properly in the netblock information).
IPtrap
Added 2001-10-22
by Frank Denis
IPtrap listens to several TCP ports to simulate fake services (X11, Netbios, DNS, etc) . When a remote client connects to one of these ports, his IP address gets immediately firewalled and an alert is logged. It runs with iptables and ipchains, but any external script can also be launched. IPv6 is supported.
Qmail alternative checkpassword suite
Added 2001-10-22
by Frank Denis
This package contains an alternative "checkpassword" program for the Qmail POP server. Authentification is done with its own /etc/passwd-style database, in a file called "/etc/poppasswd". That file maps pop logins to the path where their mails are stored, and the real UID the server should fetch them as. Logins can be different from system ones. Passwords can differ, too. All POP accounts can run under a single UID. This is an enhanced release of my good'ol "checklocalpwd.c" file. The package contains some documentation, a script for easy installation, a program to create an initial database, and another program to easily update passwords.
Check_Chains
Added 2001-10-22
by Raffaello Di Martino
Check_Chains checks the integrity of /proc/net/ip_fwchains file of a remote firewall with a master file stored in a management server where check_chains runs.
CheckScan
Added 2001-10-22
by Raffaello Di Martino (Konus)
CheckScan is a simple utility written in bash that reads the logs generated by ipchains ( with the "- l" option ) from syslog. If it reads 4 DENY statements, it sends an alert for a possible checkscan or intrusion attack. The alerts can vary, including sending an e-mail or an sms message with other programs.
