It scans email for malicious code inside attachments and archive files, stopping delivery if malicious code is found. It supports integration of several third-party virus scanners and integrates nicely into several MTA setups. Unlike amavis-perl and amavisd, there is no need for build-time configuration. Tagged Message Delivery Agent Added 2002-04-24 The Tagged Message Delivery Agent (TMDA) reduces the amount of SPAM/UCE (junkmail) you receive. It combines a "whitelist" (for known/trusted senders), a "blacklist" (for undesired senders), and a cryptographically-enhanced confirmation system (for unknown, but legitimate, senders). Milter-Virus Added 2002-04-24 Milter-Virus is a wrapper which allows you to use virus scanners like F-Prot in sendmail. It filter incoming and outgoing mail. The configuration file allows chaining of scanners and blocking of certain bad double file extensions keystory Added 2002-04-02 keystory, by analyzing email history, gathers data on the usage of OpenPGP signatures, and provides information to imperfectly, but practically complement the web of trust, answering questions such as "What keys has foo@bar.baz.com used, where and when?" It runs through cron and uses a very simple configuration file. XMail Added 2002-03-04 XMail is an Internet and intranet mail server featuring an SMTP server, POP3 server, finger server, multiple domains, no need for users to have a real system account, SMTP relay checking, RBL/RSS/ORBS/DUL and custom ( IP based and address based ) spam protection, SMTP authentication ( PLAIN LOGIN CRAM-MD5 POP3-before-SMTP and custom ), a POP3 account syncronizer with external POP3 accounts, aliases, custom mail processing, direct mail files delivery, custom mail filters, mailing lists, remote administration, custom mail exchangers, logging, and multi-platform code. Its main purpose is to read and write mail, allowing any kind of data to be attached. It can handle MIME types, has helpers to show different types, and can encode and decode binary data into ASCII to allow it to be transported as mail over the Internet. It has many built-in functions such as 2 vCards, unlimited POP3 servers, SMTP, SMTP after POP3, addressbook, encoders, filters, a special spam filter, spell checker, xface, and a new "virtual folder" concept. It also uses external programs to enhance its feature set. XCmail can be extended through a plugin interface. Qmail-Scanner Statistics Added 2002-02-25 Qmail-Scanner Statistics (QSS) uses the Qmail-Scanner Logfile to generate daily, monthly, and yearly statistics. It also shows a complete list of viruses stopped by Qmail-Scanner, the top five domains from which the viruses came, as well as the countries of origin. EnderUNIX spamGuard Added 2002-02-21 spamGuard is a small application that automagically monitors spammer activity in mail server logs. For the time being, the program supports the qmail MTA and features multilog logging. nilsimsa Added 2002-02-11 nilsimsa reads any number of files, computes trigram statistics, and notices clusters of files that are similar enough to be spam. For future files, it can then be asked whether they match previously detected clusters. Browse by category |
