by Justin
IRC administrators can now maintain their own definitions file. Help text has been cleaned up. Onjoin bots now have a random version reply to look more like real users, and onjoin bots will not check channels that are already monitored with a monbot. There is updated documentation and many bugfixes for existing code.

Big Brother
Added 2004-01-06
by Sean MacGuire, sean@iti.qc.ca
Big Brother is a combination of monitoring methods. Unlike SNMP where information is just collected and devices polled, Big Brother is designed in such a way that each local system broadcasts its own information to a central location. Simultaneously, Big Brother also polls all networked systems from a central location. This creates a highly efficient and redundant method for proactive network monitoring.

CommNav Systems Navigator
Added 2003-12-05
by CommNav Inc
Based on CommNav's Navigator portal architecture, Systems Navigator lets you administer your entire network via a secure Web interface. It helps protect your infrastructure with a set of monitoring and metric trending tools including Big Brother, Orca, Nessus, Integrit, and Larrd. The portal utilizes LDAP to store site-specific preferences for SysNav components. These preferences are templated and then used by SysNav's middle layer to generate Cfengine and component configuration files.
