DNS Blacklist Packet Filter Added 2004-05-10 DNS Blacklist Packet Filter is a BSD/Linux netfilter client that decides whether to accept or drop packets based on the results of a DNS blacklist query (such as MAPS, SORBS, or SPEWS, to name a few). One use is to filter all incoming SMTP SYN packets for spam filtering. PCX Firewall (CGI Web Frontend) Added 2004-05-07 PCX Firewall is an IPTables firewalling solution that uses Perl to generate static shell scripts based upon the user's configuration settings. This allows the firewall to startup quickly, as it does not have to parse config files every time it starts. GNUnet Added 2004-05-06 GNUnet is a peer-to-peer framework with focus on providing security. All link-to-link messages in the network are confidential and authenticated. The framework provides a transport abstraction layer and can currently encapsulate the peer-to-peer traffic in UDP, TCP, or SMTP messages. GNUnet supports accounting to provide contributing nodes with better service. The primary service build on top of the core GNUnet framework is anonymous file sharing. FTimes Added 2004-05-06 FTimes is a system baselining and evidence collection tool. Its primary purpose is to gather and/or develop information about specified directories and files in a manner conducive to intrusion analysis. It was designed to support the following initiatives: content integrity monitoring, incident response, intrusion analysis, and computer forensics. jailed Added 2004-04-30 jailed implements a nonprivileged jailroot. It allows an environment to be specified, does std(in/out/err) redirection, and can restart a failed child. SSpamM Added 2004-04-28 Semi's Spam Milter (sspamm) is a spam filter for Sendmail that utilizes spambayes, heurestic spam filtering, and virus scanning (BitDefender, not included). LinuxMagic magic-smtpd Added 2004-04-27 MAGIC-SMTPD is a drop-in replacement for Dan Bernstein's qmail-smtpd, and was originally designed to be part of the LinuxMagic Magic Mail Server. This opensource version has been released to allow others to benefit from its anti-spam components, and valid user checking to reduce server loads and spam volumes. It is designed to support stock qmail installations, qmail/vpopmail installations, and database connectivity. Designed for ISP service, this will work for all mail servers large and small. mysqlIPM Added 2004-04-27 mysqlIPM is a Web-based IP address, router, firewall, and quality of service manager. It includes provisions for MAC hardware addresses, and tftp files for router backup. GNOME Password Manager Added 2004-04-27 GPass is a simple GNOME application that lets you manage a collection of passwords.
