tripp
Added 2006-03-01
by poplix
TRIPP is a utility to rewrite incoming and outgoing IP packets. Since it can rewrite both headers and payload, it can be used to configure the tcp/ip stack behavior in order to perform various tasks mainly intended for network tests, simulations and development. It is configured via a small rule-based language, which allows the user to intercept packets, set arbitrary header values, increment or decrement numeric header fields, set an arbitrary payload, rewrite parts of the payload, or fragment, multiply, or drop packets. It is totally user-level and doesn't require any kernel module.

netdiscover
Added 2005-12-11
by Jaime Peñalba Estebanez
Netdiscover is an active/passive address reconnaissance tool, mainly developed for those wireless networks without dhcp server, when you are wardriving. It can be also used on hub/switched networks. Built on top of libnet and libpcap, it can passively detect online hosts, or search for them, by actively sending arp requests, it can also be used to inspect your network arp traffic, and find network addresses using auto scan mode, which will scan for common local networks.

Yersinia
Added 2005-10-20
by Alfredo Andres and David Barroso
Yersinia is a network tool designed to take advantage of some weakeness in different layer 2 protocols. It pretends to be a solid framework for analyzing and testing the deployed networks and systems. Currently, the following network protocols are implemented: Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), Dynamic Trunking Protocol (DTP), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), IEEE 802.1q, Inter-Switch Link Protocol (ISL), VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP).

Prelude Hybrid IDS Framework
Added 2005-09-21
by Yoann Vandoorselaere
Prelude is a Hybrid IDS framework, that is, a product enabling all security applications, be it open-source or proprietary, to report to a centralized system. In order to achieve this task, Prelude relies on the IDMEF (Intrusion Detection Message Exchange Format) IETF standard, that enables different kinds of sensors to generate events using a unique language.

PatchLink Update
Added 2004-11-30
by PatchLink Corporation
With PATCHLINK UPDATE, patch management is the secure, proactive, and preventative process it should be. PATCHLINK UPDATE scans networks for security holes and closes them with the click of a mouse, no matter the operating system, the vendor applications, the mix, or the size of the environment. From 5K nodes to 20+K nodes, PATCHLINK UPDATE works quickly, accurately and safely to ensure desktops and servers are patched correctly and completely the first time around.

antinat

by Malcolm Smith
The Antinat SOCKS Server is a multi-threaded, scalable SOCKS server with a client library for writing proxy-based applications. It supports SOCKS 4, SOCKS 5, authentication, firewalling, UDP, and name resolution.

ID-Synch
Added 2004-09-14
by M-Tech Information Technology, Inc.
ID-Synch is enterprise user provisioning software. It reduces the cost of user administration, helps new and reassigned users get to work more quickly, and ensures prompt and reliable access termination. This is accomplished through automatic propagation of changes to user profiles from systems of record to managed systems, with self service workflow for security change requests, through consolidated and delegated user administration, and with federation.

Firewall Builder
Added 2004-07-29
by Vadim Kurland
Firewall Builder consists of a GUI and set of policy compilers for various firewall platforms. It helps users maintain a database of objects and allows policy editing using simple drag-and-drop operations. The GUI and policy compilers are completely independent, and support for a new firewall platform can be added to the GUI without any changes to the program (only a new policy compiler is needed). This provides for a consistent abstract model and the same GUI for different firewall platforms. It currently supports iptables, ipfilter, and OpenBSD pf.

Lepton's Crack
Added 2004-07-26
by Lepton and Nekromancer
Lepton's Crack is a generic password cracker. It is easily-customizable with a simple plugin system and allows system administrators to review the quality of the passwords being used on their systems. It can perform a dictionary-based (wordlist) attack as well as a brute force (incremental) password scan. It supports standard MD4 hash, standard MD5 hash, NT MD4/Unicode, Lotus Domino HTTP password (R4), and SHA-1 hash formats. LM (LAN Manager) plus appending and prepending
