This may be useful in some special cases, for example, centralized control of test (demo) networks, or connection to applets running in browsers. NetCallback consists of a public and a private server. The public server executes on a host outside the firewall and is responsible for receiving port forwarding requests. The private server is run on a host behind the firewall and is responsible for contacting the public server and connecting the protected TCP and/or UDP service to the public server clients. The connection between public and private servers may optionally be encrypted using SSL. License Manager Added 2004-02-09 License Manager is a tool that enables developers and organizations to deliver securely licensed Java applications. jPortKnock Added 2004-02-09 Port knocking describes a method of establishing a connection to a networked computer with no open port. Ports are opened with the use of port knock sequences: a series of connection attempts to a series of closed and logged ports. jPortKnock is an implementation of this method. JavaCA Added 2004-01-12 JavaCA is a text interface tool to run a X.509 (aka SSL) Certificate Authority that aims to be more user-friendly than OpenSSL. It also should run on non-UNIX operating systems where OpenSSL may not be available. fwlogview Added 2003-12-15 fwlogview is a graphical, realtime, colorized logviewer for netfilter and other logs written in Java. It displays the logentries which are related to the firewall action. You can hide unimportant columns or change the order in which columns are shown. Tiger Envelopes Added 2003-12-09 Tiger Envelopes makes cryptography work with almost any email software. It is a personal mail proxy server with automatic encryption. Tiger uses SMTP and POP3 to work with almost any mail client, CORBA and crypto plugins to work with almost any type of cryptography, and Java to run on almost any operating system. Plugins for PGP and GPG are included. N-View Added 2003-11-06 N-View is a network monitor for small and medium-sized networks. It features automatic scanning of subnets for host addresses, monitoring of ICMP responses from all hosts, signalling of timeouts and delays in the GUI and by mail, a portscanner, an SNMP client (MIB browser and trap receiver), a graphical display of network traffic for network interfaces, connectivity to hosts by telnet, HTTP browser, or an arbitrary external program (such as ssh), printing of network diagrams, automatic generation of HTML pages, and more. Secure FTP Wrapper Added 2003-07-23 Secure FTP Wrapper is a server-based package that enables an existing FTP server to become a Secure FTP server. In this release the wrapper allows for a Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL, connection to be made to your FTP server. Monitoring Application for Resources and Servers Added 2003-06-16 MARS is a host based system monitoring tool. It contains a distributed agent, SPOT, which is placed on each host. The MARS server can then obtain information about each of the machines the agent is running on, including status, load information, disk activity and memory information. MARS is Java based, and should run on any Unix supporting Java, as well as Microsoft Windows products. Java Object Inspector Added 2002-12-17 The Java Object Inspector is used for testing client Java applications or applets which talk to the server with serialized Java objects. This tool is inserted into a Java application to inspect and modify member variables of live Java objects before they are streamed to the network. Browse by category |
