As it tails a log file, each log entry is matched against rules dictated in the easily customized rules file; if the log is matched, the log message is formatted to output only the requested data. As such, only relevant data is parsed and reading the log entries becomes much easier. mysqlRadiusd Added 2004-03-09 mysqlRadiusd is a RADIUS daemon based on the 1.6.6 Cistron distribution and the mySQL patches that has been modified for use with the mysqlISP GPL ISP management software system. It is very stable and can handle large ISPs easily while pumping mass accounting records into mysqlRadacct subsystem at a tremendous rate from even multi-server clusters. Oculus Added 2004-03-08 Oculus (The Eye) is a server monitor that uses a plain-text protocol to report about the server it runs on. It features an XML style config file, a plain-text command-based query protocol, and plugin support. Opt-X Added 2004-03-01 Opt-X is a network monitoring tool. Its features include port monitoring, content monitoring, creating server groups, dynamic creation of a port list, tracking tasks, servers, vendors, and being able to log changes that occur to a server. BitDefender Linux Edition Added 2004-02-24 BitDefender Linux Edition is a powerful on-demand antivirus scanner for command lines and shell scripts. It supports manual scanning of individual files or entire file systems, malicious code detection, and disinfection. After each scan, a detailed report of displayed positive virus detections is displayed. It uses scanning engines that are certified by prestigious testing labs. QtFprot Added 2004-02-16 QtFprot is a frontend for FPROT 4.x, a free (for personal use) Linux virus-scanner. It's similar to XFprot, but written in Qt. It allows you to set all FPROT paramters with a comfortable GUI. LibIdent C library Added 2004-01-21 LibIdent is a small C library for interfacing with RFC 1413 Ident protocol servers, which are used for identifying users. LibIdent supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses transparently. braa Added 2004-01-12 Braa is a tool for making SNMP queries. It is able to query hundreds or thousands of hosts simultaneously, while being completely single-threaded. It does not need any SNMP libraries, as it is equipped with its own SNMP engine. However, it's good to have a complete SNMP package including "snmptranslate" installed somewhere, because for speed reasons, there is no ASN.1 parser in Braa, and all the SNMP OIDs need to be specified numerically. GKrellM xkb Added 2004-01-06 GKrellM xkb is a plugin for GKrellM which displays a small country flag indicating the currently-active national keyboard layout. It requires GKrellM2 and the XKB X Window extension. Yin Yang Added 2004-01-02 Yin Yang is a real-time Linux file scanner that is activated whenever a file is accessed. When a file opening system call is detected, it will send the full pathname of the file to a network daemon. The network daemon will then pass the pathname of the file to a file scanner, such as an anti-virus scanner, and return the status. The status will then be reported back to the network daemon, and the response will be passed back to the system call. The default action logs a message to the system logger. The file scanner is wrapped with the original file opening system call, so it will open the file normally after the file scanning. Browse by category |
