The primary design goals are security, ease of use, and performance, in that order. It takes advantage of advanced features of iptables, tcpwrappers, and the Linux kernel. ZorbIPtraffic Added 2003-05-26 ZorbIPtraffic shows the IP traffic on a network interface in real time. It can display traffic statistics for each IP on your internal network, and it summarizes the total traffic for each IP per year, per month, and per day. All information is stored in a MySQL database, which makes it easy to search the traffic measurements for a specific day. ZorbIPtraffic only works if you use iptables. fBuilder Plus Added 2003-05-20 fBuilder Plus is a Web-based utility for building and configuring your ipchains/iptables-based Linux firewall. There are two versions of fBuilder: fBuilder Lite, a free version that includes a standard set of features, and fBuilder Plus, which includes edit, insert, and delete capabilities for firewall rules, automatic back traffic rule creation, and log reporting and export capabilities. TBFirewall Added 2003-03-03 TBFirewall is a front-end created to control firewall rules. Its config files are constructed in the form of tables. TBFirewall is designed to connect one or more local networks to another, forming an internetwork, but it can also run without problem in other network models. PCX Firewall Added 2002-10-30 PCX Firewall is an IPTables firewalling solution that uses Perl to generate static shell scripts based upon the user's configuration settings. This allows the firewall to startup quickly, as it does not have to parse config files every time it starts. Pachyderm-fw Added 2002-07-23 Pachyderm is graphical firewall management software for ipchains. It is based on MySQL and PHP, easy to use, and has lots of configuration abilities. mail2sh Added 2002-05-17 Mail2sh makes it possible to carry out shell commands by email. Email is sent to a particular user on your host and the commands will be carried out if the user and password given matches ones in /etc/passwd. Commands are executed with the user's privileges, and combined with a PGP module ensures a certain level of security for use. Note that the system is not natively encrypted, so use of an encryption mechanism is highly recommended for security reasons. Firewall by Jim Added 2002-05-15 This is a firewall that takes advantage of tcp_wrappers information to block users. It also uses separate files for configuration ease. It is designed to work out of the box with eth0 for internet and eth1 for the LAN. Zorp Added 2002-05-15 Zorp is a proxy firewall suite. Its core framework allows the administrator to finetune proxy decisions (with its built-in script language), and fully analyze complex protocols (including SSH with several forwarded TCP connections, or SSL with an embedded POP3 protocol). FTP, HTTP, finger, whois, and SSL protocols are fully supported with an application-level gateway. Zorp aims for compliance with the Common Cirteria/Application-level Firewall Protection Profile for Medium Robustness Enviroment. IDMS Firewall Added 2002-04-30 IDMS is a very powerfull firewall configuration script with support for basically any type of system. It features an easy to use configuration, traffic shaping/logging, spoof protection, and dynamic table reloading. Browse by category |
