So far, it is the only ICMP echo program which allows you to specify more than just ICMP parameters. myNetMon Added 2002-08-08 myNetMon is windows based network monitor and packet analyzing (sniffer) tool. myNetMon uses WinPcap, a windows port of Libpcap which is a packet capturing library. Visual Interactive Datapipe (Vida) Added 2002-07-19 Visual Interactive Datapipe (Vida) is an interactive visual datapipe for all *nix systems, which allows socket communications to be redirected over pipes. It features an ncurses interface that allows the creation of multiple datapipes, each supporting multiple connections. It is possible to sniff and log traffic in various ways, hijack piped connections, perform DNS hijacking on switched LANs, and much more. Apache Chunked Scanner Added 2002-06-21 The Retina Apache Chunked Scanner is a tool created by eEye that is able to scan up to 254 IP addresses at once and determine if any are vulnerable to the recent Apache Chunked Encoding overflow. If an IP address is found to be vulnerable to the Apache Chunked Encoding attack, then the Retina Apache Chunked Scanner will flag the IP address. Administrators can then double-click on the IP address to be taken to a website with information on how to fix the vulnerability. Network Security Analysis Tool Added 2002-05-06 nsat is a fast, stable bulk security scanner designed to audit remote network services and check for versions, security problems, gather information about the servers and the machine, and much more. Unlike many other auditing tools, it can collect information about services independently of vulnerabilities, which makes it less dependent on frequent updates as new vulnerabilities are found. WaveStumbler Added 2002-02-06 WaveStumbler is console based 802.11 network mapper for Linux. It reports the basic AP stuff like channel, WEP, ESSID, MAC etc. It has support for Hermes based cards (Compaq, Lucent/Agere, ... ) It still in development but tends to be stable. It consist of a patch against the kernel driver, orinoco.c which makes it possible to send the scan command to the driver via the /proc/hermes/ethX/cmds file. The answer is then sent back via a netlink socket. WaveStumbler listens to this socket and displays the output data on the console. xScan Added 2002-02-05 X-Scan is a general network vulnerabilities scanner for scanning network vulnerabilities for specific IP address scope or stand-alone computer by multi-threading method. Plug-ins are supportable and GUI or CUI programs are separately provided. wollf Added 2002-01-29 Extended Telnet Services, support file transfers, support reverse-connect through firewall, you can use a option to start it as a serivce or a general process. NGSSniff Added 2002-01-22 NGSSniff is a network packet capture and analysis program. It requires Windows 2000 or XP, and allows users to capture, save and analyse traffic on their network. The current version of NGSSniff is a BETA test version, and is thus provided free of charge. Aldebaran sniffer Added 2001-12-13 Aldebaran is an advanced libpcap-based network TCP sniffer. It gives a user only a payload from captured data and basic info about addresses and ports (nothing about flags, etc.). This is useful for monitoring data sent by connections and sniffing passwords. It supports filtering packets with not only simple port/address libpcap rules but also payload contents, and can send captured data to another host via UDP. It can also encrypt data written to a dump file, and analyse interface traffic and present statistics (packets count, sizes, average speed etc.) in HTML or a plain text file. Browse by category |
