It was developed to access Firewall-1 Logfiles from commandline from any host in the network. Without an LEA client you can only access logs with graphical Checkpoint Tools or via commandline directly on the Firewall-1 machine. The primary goal was to automate reports of FW-1 logs with LIRE. ulogd-php Added 2004-02-12 ulogd-php is a php interface for the MySQL plugin for the ulogd netfilter log daemon. It displays hosts that recently broke packets on your firewall and the last ports that were probed. A simple search function allows packets to be searched by host or by a given port. m0n0wall Added 2004-02-09 m0n0wall is an all-in-one firewall software package (based on FreeBSD) geared towards embedded PCs. It includes an easy-to-use Web interface like commercial firewall boxes do. PHP is used instead of shell scripts, and the entire system configuration is stored in a single XML-formatted file. There is support for wireless LAN, VPN, traffic shaping, and more. jPortKnock Added 2004-02-09 Port knocking describes a method of establishing a connection to a networked computer with no open port. Ports are opened with the use of port knock sequences: a series of connection attempts to a series of closed and logged ports. jPortKnock is an implementation of this method. Socks Server 5 Added 2004-01-28 Socks Server 5 is a socks server for the Linux platform which supports the Socks protocol versions 4 and 5. PeerProtect Added 2004-01-26 PeerProtect is an addon for Jay's firewall that generates a file which contains all IP addresses from the RIAA and MPAA, etc. and will protect peer-to-peer programs from them. SEPPL Added 2004-01-22 SEPPL is both a protocol definition and a software implementation of a new encryption layer for IPv4. It is extremely leightweight and easy to use. It is implemented for the Linux kernel and makes use of netfiler and the Linux CryptoAPI. It is intended as a software replacement for WEP but may be used on non-wireless lans as well. It even fits for VPN solutions. Local Area Security Knoppix Added 2004-01-14 Local Area Security Knoppix is a 'Live CD' distribution based on Knoppix but with a strong emphasis on security tools and small footprint. There are four different versions of L.A.S. Knoppix to fit three specific needs. These are a Firewall/IDS-centric version, a penetration testing/forensics version, a MiniCD-size version covering a full spectrum of tools, and a SECSERV secure mini-server that runs off CD. Packit Added 2004-01-12 Packit is a network auditing tool that allows you to monitor, manipulate, and inject customized IPv4 traffic into your network. This can be extremely valuable for testing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, port scanning, and general TCP/IP auditing. It currently supports the ability to define nearly all TCP, UDP, ICMP, IP, and Ethernet header options. It requires libnet 1.1 or greater as well as libpcap, and has been tested to run on FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, and Linux. ekkoBSD Firewall Added 2003-12-29 ekkoBSD Firewall is a full-featured operating system with security enhancements, a state tracking packet filter, and a NAT firewall. Its features include firewall traffic shaping, an FTP proxy, an authenticating gateway, a complete logging facility, easy management with the administration tool set, IP address pooling (common address redundancy), and a state log daemon.
