httptunnel
Added 2001-10-22
by Lars Brinkhoff, lars@nocrew.org
httptunnel creates a bidirectional data channel through an HTTP proxy, from your isolated computer behind a restrictive firewall, to a system on the Internet you have access to.

TIS Firewall Toolkit
Added 2001-10-22
by Trusted Information Systems
The TIS Internet Firewall Toolkit is a set of programs and configuration practices designed to facilitate the building of network firewalls. Components of the toolkit, while designed to work together, can be used in isolation or can be combined with other firewall components. The toolkit software is designed to run on UNIX systems using TCP/IP with a Berkeley-style "socket" interface.

DNScache
Added 2001-10-22
by Daniel J. Bernstein, djb@pobox.com
DNScache is a collection of Domain Name System tools. Security is one of the primary motivations for the development of dnscache; every step of the design and implementation has been carefully evaluated from a security perspective. The dnscache package has been structured to minimize the complexity of security-critical code. The package is modularized for easy review. Bug-prone coding practices and libraries have been systematically identified and rejected. It is possible to use the package as a secure alternative to BIND.

Sportal
Added 2001-10-22
by Gandalf Elbrujo, bruj0@phreaker.net
Sportal is made for people that need to know what is going on in their systems. It monitors files that you select, for "hot words" that you also select, through a graphical interface. When a hot word is found in the file being watched, it will let you know. There is no restriction on the numbers of files or hot words. Major clean up, Fixed a memory leak. Added option to execute a command when a word is found. Added a Scroll Back buffer. There is now an option to turn off the icons and the window popping up. The configuration file has been made more readable. Debug output has been turned off. Random crash problems have been fixed. A new option to show all the lines that gets added to the file, like "tail -f", added. Compile bugfixes for Compaq Tru64, SCO Unixware and Solaris.

GnuPG
Added 2001-10-22
by Free Software Foundation, gnu@gnu.org
The GNU Privacy Guard (GPG) is a complete and free replacement for PGP developed in Europe. Because it does not use IDEA or RSA, it can be used without any restrictions. GnuPG is an RFC2440 (OpenPGP)-compliant application.

NDiff
Added 2001-10-22
by James Levine
NDiff compares two nmap scans and outputs the differences. It allows monitoring of your network(s) for interesting changes in port states and visible hosts. Viewing results in this manner eliminates the need to sift through voluminous raw scan output in search of the few noteworthy differences. It should be useful to network administrators, security analysts, and other interested parties who need to monitor large networks in an organized fashion.
