It's designed in a small core that processes connections and petitions, sets the expected environment variables, and calls an external program or script that processes this and shows what it wants. It's possible to customize every answer of the Web server, and extend it in a simple way. It features UID/GID/chroot directives, logging support, dynamic modules (Unicode, noupdir, and security), HSML, and SSLv2. It supports IPv4 and IPv6, PHP (with php-cgi), XSLT on the fly (with xsltproc), code highlighting, error pages, and MIME types. The SSH library Added 2004-03-05 The SSH library is a C library to authenticate in a simple manner to one or more SSH servers. The goal of this project is to provide a library much simpler to use than OpenSSH's one. A sample SSH client is provided. OpenCA Added 2004-03-05 The OpenCA Project is a collaborative effort to develop a robust, full-featured and Open Source out-of-the-box Certification Authority implementing the most used protocols with full-strength cryptography world-wide. OpenCA is based on many Open-Source Projects. Among the supported software is OpenLDAP, OpenSSL, Apache Project, Apache mod_ssl. MailScanner Added 2004-03-01 MailScanner is an Email virus scanner and spam tagger. It supports sendmail and Exim MTAs, and the Sophos, McAfee, F-Prot, F-Secure, CommandAV, InoculateIT, Inoculan 4.x, Kaspersky, RAV, and Panda anti-virus scanners. It supports SpamAssassin for highly successful spam identification. It is specifically designed to handle Denial Of Service attacks. It is very easy to install, and requires no changes at all to your sendmail.cf file. It is designed to be lightweight, and won't grind your mail system to a halt with its load. It can be integrated into any email system, regardless of the software in use. GKrellM Added 2004-02-24 GKrellM is a GTK-based stacked monitor program that charts SMP CPUs, disks, load, active net interfaces, and internet connections. There are also builtin monitors for memory and swap, file systems with mount/umount feature, mailbox checking including POP3 and IMAP, clock/calendar, laptop battery, sensors (temperatures, voltages, and fans), and uptime. It has LEDs for the net monitors and an on/off button and online timer for PPP. There is a GUI popup for configuration, plugin extensions can be installed, and many themes are available. It also features a client/server monitoring capability. Nast Added 2004-02-18 Nast is a packet sniffer and a LAN analyzer based on Libnet and Libpcap. It can sniff the packets on a network interface in normal mode or in promiscuous mode. It dumps the headers of packets and the payload in ASCII or ASCII-hex format. Various packet filters can be applied. The data sniffed can be saved in a separate file. As an analysis tool, it can check for other NICs on the network which are set in promiscuous mode, build a list of all hosts on a LAN, find a gateway, perform port scanning on a multiple hosts, catch daemon banners, follow the TCP data stream, reset a connection, and determine whether a link type is a hub or switch. Net::RawIP Added 2004-02-09 Net::RawIP is a perl module that can manipulate raw IP packets, with an optional feature for manipulating Ethernet headers. LSH Added 2004-02-09 lsh is an implementation of the SSH protocol version 2. It is under active development. Developer contributions are welcome from both inside and outside the US. IMAPFilter Added 2004-02-09 IMAPFilter connects to remote IMAP mail servers and processes messages according to defined filters (rules). It is intended to be executed before a user accesses his/her mailboxes. Big Brother Added 2004-01-06 Big Brother is a combination of monitoring methods. Unlike SNMP where information is just collected and devices polled, Big Brother is designed in such a way that each local system broadcasts its own information to a central location. Simultaneously, Big Brother also polls all networked systems from a central location. This creates a highly efficient and redundant method for proactive network monitoring. Browse by category |
