TIS Firewall Toolkit Added 2001-10-22 The TIS Internet Firewall Toolkit is a set of programs and configuration practices designed to facilitate the building of network firewalls. Components of the toolkit, while designed to work together, can be used in isolation or can be combined with other firewall components. The toolkit software is designed to run on UNIX systems using TCP/IP with a Berkeley-style "socket" interface. Intact Added 2001-10-22 Intact is a system integrity assessment tool that detects changes to a system by comparing system components to a pre-established database. It features a central console, remote administration, and easy-to-use wizards. The NT version will detect changes in real time. All versions detect changes in files and users. NT/2000 versions detect changes in the registry, auditing, policy, and any LDAP-compliant directory. Secret Agent Added 2001-10-22 Secret Agent keeps passphrases and passwords in memory for a configurable timespan. Various applications can be made to cooperate with the agent; support for PGP 2 and GnuPG is provided out of the box. NDiff Added 2001-10-22 NDiff compares two nmap scans and outputs the differences. It allows monitoring of your network(s) for interesting changes in port states and visible hosts. Viewing results in this manner eliminates the need to sift through voluminous raw scan output in search of the few noteworthy differences. Cistron Radius Server Added 2001-10-22 Cistron RADIUS is an authentication and accounting server for terminal servers that speak the RADIUS protocol. The Cistron Radius server is mostly compatible with Livingston's 'radiusd-2.1', except without the s/key or menu support. It has additional features such as multiple DEFAULT entries with fall-through, a session database (who is online), the ability to limit connections on a per-user basis, and much more. John the Ripper (UNIX) Added 2001-10-22 John the Ripper is a password cracker, currently available for UNIX, DOS, WinNT/Win95. Its primary purpose is to detect weak UNIX passwords. LogController Added 2001-10-22 logController allows you to control the size of some files that tend to become too large (logfiles). A config file allows you to define which files to monitor and the sizes not to exceed. If one or more files exceed the limit size, they are automatically truncated to a new user-defined size and the area truncated can be erased, or compressed and stored. SAINT - Security Administrator's Integrated Network Tool Added 2001-10-22 SAINT (Security Administrator's Integrated Network Tool) is a security assessment tool based on SATAN. It is updated regularly and scans for just about all remotely detectable vulnerabilities. Features include scanning through a firewall, updated security checks from CERT & CIAC bulletins, 4 levels of severity (red, yellow, brown, & green) and a feature rich HTML interface.
