GPS is especially efficient in LAN pen-testing, due to its ability to disclose the firewall settings of a host. Alfandega Firewall Added 2002-04-16 Alfandega Firewall is a collection of Perl modules that helps users to implement iptables-based firewalls for two interfaces. It provides local and remote blacklists, spoofing checks, packet forwarding, ICMP control, service configuration, and more. PCX Firewall (Rules) Added 2002-04-15 PCX Firewall is an IPTables firewalling solution that uses Perl to generate static shell scripts based upon the user's configuration settings. This allows the firewall to startup quickly, as it does not have to parse config files every time it starts. cp2fwbuilder Added 2002-04-08 cp2fwbuilder (Checkpoint Firewall 1 to FwBuilder) helps you to migrate an existing Checkpoint Firewall 1 installation and its rulesets to Linux with iptables or a BSD-based firewall. This is done by converting the Rulebase- and the Objects-database from Checkpoint to the FirewallBuilder XML Format. Turtle Firewall Added 2002-04-03 A firewall configuration project based on Linux 2.4.x and iptables. It has a web interface with an intuitive Webmin module. DAXFi Added 2002-03-27 DAXFi is a Python script that helps configure several different kinds of firewalls in a consistent way. It can run as daemon to adapt its behavior to external conditions; rules can be described with XML files, XML strings, or generated directly by the code; the program can be configured and extended with a sort of plug-ins written in Python. It comes with a Python package, useful to build other applications aimed to manipulate different firewalls in a uniform way (some example programs are included). theWall Added 2002-03-13 theWall is a single floppy firewall and NAT box based on PicoBSD/FreeBSD. The primary aim is to allow a small network to share a cable modem or DSL Internet connection. It currently supports static or DHCP IP address assignment. HLFL Added 2002-02-20 HLFL (High Level Firewall Language) implements a concept where, using a specific language for a firewall, you could then translate it into a variety of formats, like cisco, ipfw, ipfilter, Linux ipfwadm, ipchains, and netfilter. NARC Added 2002-02-20 NARC (Netfilter Automatic Rules Configurator) is a free firewalling package for Netfilter/Iptables, released under the BSD license. It attempts to simplify the setup of a firewall (stateful packet filter) via the iptables tools. It is a bash shellscript that generates (hopefully) sensible and secure rules for Netfilter based on a simple configuration file. It features quick setup via a simple configuration file, connection tracking (and fragmentation reassembly), customized logging, probe detection (TCP & UDP), and much more. Firewall Type Malikai Added 2002-02-06 FireWall type Malikai is a firewall management scriptset implemented for iptables that creates a central point of configuration for all network and firewall data on the firewall. It manages network initialization of up to three interfaces, supporting external DHCP clientness (like cable/DSL modem scenarios using dhcpcd) and iptables policies. FWM implements each 'chain' as its own policy, organized in an individual file, loadable and unloadable individually, with no affect on other policies. This is achieved by use of state matching and spanning in policies. FWM does not create firewall rules, but does come with a fully functional default policy capable of performing well in most simple circumstances. Browse by category |
