It provides tiny daemon wrapper programs that can be installed without any changes to existing software or to existing configuration files. The wrappers report the name of the client host and of the requested service. The wrappers do not exchange information with the client or server applications, and impose no overhead on the actual conversation between the client and server applications. Iptables Script Generator Added 2002-12-09 The iptables Script Generator is a set of PHP scripts that makes in easy to generate a custom iptables script for router and/or firewall use. It also makes it possible for computers on your LAN to surf on the Internet Catacomb Library Added 2002-12-02 Catacomb is a library of cryptographic primitives. Currently, there are a few block ciphers and hash functions, together with generic modes for building more interesting constructions from them. There is also a key management system, a multi-precision maths library, and some public key algorithms. Safer Password Generator Added 2002-11-14 Safer Password Generator creates English-like passwords, although they are not English words, or even (usually) combinations of English words or names. So password-cracking algorithms which search for English words and names and combinations of them will have a very hard time with Sprex passwords. AuditMyPC Added 2002-10-07 AuditMyPC is a free online security scan, port scan and privacy test tool. Port scan all 65,535 ports. This security test is very fast and free of ads and pop-ups. Pafwert Added 2002-10-04 Pafwert generates patterned random passwords that are much easier to remember than totally random passwords. Most of the passwords it generates are very strong yet follow patterns that make them easier for humans to remember. Pafwert uses over 200 pattern algorithms and more than 300,000 words to generate trillions of password combinations. PsycologIcal Security System Added 2002-09-11 The PsychologIcal Security System (P.I.S.S.) is the last barrier and desperate security system for the lazy trusted system administrator. It's based on a deep investigation process trying to find the most generalized psychological system intrusion profile. The protection scheme is included both in English and Spanish. Reapoff Added 2002-08-27 Reapoff (Regular Expression, Arbitrary Protocol, Opensource Filtering Firewall) is a regular expression enabled TCP/IP proxy. It operates on data using a pair of simple rule- based configuration files defining the tests and actions to perform on data. It can also sign SSL connections transparently (with MITM), applying a security policy to encrypted SSL sessions that would otherwise be allowed unchecked. The proxy forms the core part of an overall firewall solution designed to run from a RAM disk using Trinux. socket_wrappers Added 2002-08-26 socket_wrappers is an improved version of tcp_wrappers. The improvements include changing from K&R to ANSI C, removing unneeded compatibility libraries, separation of the public and private API, prepending tcpd_ to all private functions and data to prevent name collisions, updates to signal handlers so that the application's handlers aren't tampered with, dropping supplemental groups, and some build and man page improvements. Applications compiled with this library should be smaller, too. tcptraceroute Added 2002-07-31 tcptraceroute is a traceroute implementation using TCP SYN packets, instead of the more traditional UDP or ICMP ECHO packets.
