The README file includes configuration information for procmail to help fight spam. Loggerithim Added 2002-10-07 Loggerithim is a monitoring package. It allows you to monitor your systems, proactively spot problems, perform postmortems, throw alerts when bad things happen, predict future needs, and automate routine administration tasks. ProSum Added 2002-08-19 ProSum is a terminal based program that protects your files, sys_call_table, and IDT in a Tripwire-like way (all in user space, without kernel modules). In addition, a database with files could be encrypted with the Blowfish algorithm, and files that are protected can be stored on a secure/bastion host to later replace them. You can disable sys_call_table and IDT support for non-Linux systems. ProSum can run on any UNIX system with file protect mode (without IDT and sys_call_table support). ProSum is designed to run on the Linux x86 platform. This is not neccesary, but is recommended. Secure Cryptographic Instant Messaging Added 2002-08-07 The Project SCIM application allows you to send Encrypted Instant Messages to your friends and other contacts. The software is free for non-commercial users and contains a load of cool features. DansGuardian Anti-Virus Scanner Added 2002-07-31 The DansGuardian Anti-Virus Scanner gives you the ability to virus-scan all content that passes through DansGuardian. It uses the scanning code from the MailScanner project to do the actual virus scanning, so it supports all the virus engines that the MailScanner project supports. The scanning is done as the file is being downloaded, so your current network apps don't have to be modified, etc. They just have to support using a proxy. FCheck Added 2002-07-31 FCHECK is a very stable PERL script written to generate and comparatively monitor a UNIX system against its baseline for any file alterations and report them through syslog, console, or any log monitoring interface. Monitoring events can be done in as little as one minute intervals if a system's drive space is small enough, making it very difficult to circumvent. This is a freely-available open-source alternative to 'tripwire' that is time tested, and is easier to configure and use. WebJob Added 2002-07-30 WebJob downloads a program over HTTP/HTTPS and executes it in one unified operation. The output, if any, may be directed to the stdout/stderr or a Web resource. WebJob may be useful in incident response and intrusion analysis as it provides a mechanism to run known good diagnostic programs on a potentially compromised system. It can also support various host-based monitoring solutions. wicap Added 2002-06-14 wicap is a captive portal that is easy to set up and supports OpenBSD. Echelog Added 2002-06-13 Echelog is a distributed system consisting of one or more agents and one or more servers. Agents, distributed on computers over network, are monitoring the state of hosts and network. Collected data are sent to a special server or servers where they are processed and stored. bg perlyzer Added 2002-06-06 bg perlyzer is a combination of scripts which parse Apache log files and inserts them into a MySQL database. There is also a Web-based interface which sorts, groups, and analyzes the log files based on any input. Browse by category |
