by jeremy chartier
Snortalog (formerly known as Snort-ng) is a powerful Perl script that summarizes Snort logs, making it easy to view any network attacks detected by Snort. It can generate charts in HTML. It works with all versions of Snort, and can analyze logs in two formats: syslog alerts and text alerts. It does not include a database for maximum performance.

Animail
Added 2004-02-24
by Juanjo Álvarez Martínez
Animail is a multiserver POP3/APOP/IMAP4Rev1 (with or without SSL) mail retrieval utility. It features an advanced filtering system based on blacklisting, whitelisting, or a combination of both. It is possible to send an autoresponse which prompts people to reply and add themselves to the 'autoaccept' file. It also allows filters based on a regular expression which matches against the email headers. (If a message is filtered, only the header is downloaded, not the entire body.) Animail also features download ordering options. For example, you can configure it to download the smaller messages first. Different delivery options are available, including mailbox, maildir, local SMTP, and pipe to command.

Sambascan2
Added 2004-02-16
by Claudio Clemens
Sambascan2 allows you to search an entire network or a number of hosts for SMB shares. It will also list the contents of all public shares that it finds. The difference between sambascan2 and other SMB viewers and scanners is that it will search everything using TCP/IP, and it will not send a lot of broadcast messages, so it can be used over LAN boundaries. It only uses SMB to list the shares and their contents.

FW1-Loggrabber
Added 2004-02-12
by Torsten Fellhauer
FW1-Loggrabber is a simple LEA (Log Export API) client for Checkpoint Firewall-1. It was developed to access Firewall-1 Logfiles from commandline from any host in the network. Without an LEA client you can only access logs with graphical Checkpoint Tools or via commandline directly on the Firewall-1 machine. The primary goal was to automate reports of FW-1 logs with LIRE.

AIM Sniff
Added 2004-02-12
by Shawn Grimes
AIM Sniff is a utility for monitoring and archiving AOL Instant Messenger messages across a network. It can be used to monitor for cases of harassment or warez trading. It has the ability to do a live dump (actively sniff the network) or read a PCAP file and parse the file for IM messages. You also have the option of dumping the information to a MySQL database or STDOUT. AIM Sniff will also monitor for an AIM login and then perform an SMB lookup on the originating computer in order to match NT Domain names with AIM login names (handles). A very basic Web frontend is included.

monagent
Added 2004-02-11
by Mario Bucsics
monagent is a collection of tools which allows you to monitor anything by writing scripts in any language you prefer. As long as you supply the correct output format, the data will be monitored, and you will get an email or SMS message when a certain threshold exceeds the limits that you have defined. It consists of a Unix daemon, a monitoring viewer, and an admin tool for setting thresholds. The viewer and admintool are written in VB6. An Oracle Database is used for the monitoring schema, and an Oracle Client installation is needed on every host you want to monitor.
