Logwatch
Added 2002-04-26
by Kirk Bauer
Logwatch analyzes and reports on system logs. It is a customizable and pluggable log-monitoring system and will go through the logs for a given period of time and make a customizable report. It should work right out of the package on most systems.

NetSPoc (Network Security Policy Compiler)
Added 2002-04-08
by Heinz Knutzen
The Network Security Policy Compiler (NetSPoC) is a tool for security management of large computer networks with different security domains. It generates configuration files for packet filters controlling the borders of security domains. It provides its own language for describing security policy and the topology of a network. The security policy is a set of rules that state which packets are allowed to pass the network and which are not. NetSPoC is topology aware; a rule for traffic from A to B is automatically applied to all managed packet filters on the path from A to B.

SLAN
Added 2002-04-03
by cryptopup
The SLAN project is focused on developing a flexible open source Virutal Private Networking system, primarily for securing Internet uplinks which use broadcast media such as 802.11 wireless links or public/shared ethernets. The system is flexible enough to support traditional VPN applications as well. As well as featuring an open design and strong security, the SLAN project hopes to eventually provide support for all major computing platforms.

by Dr. Tom
This patch adds Secure Remote Password (SRP) support to OpenSSH (portable version). The Stanford SRP distribution is not required, although this is compatible with that (it will use your existing SRP configuration files, if they exist).

borZoi (UNIX)
Added 2002-04-01
by Anthony Mulcahy
My goal in writing this software is to provide a small easy to use cryptographic component for developers who want a simple means of adding privacy protection to their applications. Ease of use and a minimum risk of security problems due to incorrect use will be it's strong points. This library is not intended to cover all forms of elliptic curve cryptography. There are other libraries such as Michael Scott's MIRACL and Wei Dai's Crypto++ which already do this.

squid_auth_ldap
