It operates embedded into the web server, acting as a powerful umbrella - shielding applications from attacks. ModSecurity supports Apache (both branches) today, with support for Java-based servers coming soon. SNMPMonitor Added 2003-12-23 SNMPMonitor is a graphical tool for monitoring SNMP devices. nload Added 2003-12-19 nload is a console application which monitors network traffic and bandwidth usage in real time. It visualizes the in- and outgoing traffic using two graphs. It also provides additional information, such as the total amount of transfered data and the min/max network usage. Firewall Builder for PIX Added 2003-12-09 Firewall Builder for PIX hides the complexity of PIX command line interface and automatically configures options and parameters that usually make manual configuration a real chore. With this module, the same workstation running Firewall Builder can create and manage security policy on Cisco PIX firewalls, as well as on firewalls built with iptables, OpenBSD pf, or ipfilter. CommNav Systems Navigator Added 2003-12-05 Based on CommNav's Navigator portal architecture, Systems Navigator lets you administer your entire network via a secure Web interface. It helps protect your infrastructure with a set of monitoring and metric trending tools including Big Brother, Orca, Nessus, Integrit, and Larrd. The portal utilizes LDAP to store site-specific preferences for SysNav components. These preferences are templated and then used by SysNav's middle layer to generate Cfengine and component configuration files. honeyd Added 2003-11-26 Honeyd is a small daemon that creates virtual hosts on a network. The hosts can be configured to run arbitrary services, and their TCP personality can be adapted so that they appear to be running certain versions of operating systems. Honeyd enables a single host to claim multiple addresses on a LAN for network simulation. It is possible to ping the virtual machines, or to traceroute them. Any type of service on the virtual machine can be simulated according to a simple configuration file. Instead of simulating a service, it is also possible to proxy it to another machine. Distributed Checksum Clearinghouse Added 2003-11-20 Distributed Checksum Clearinghouse (DCC) is a system of clients and servers that collect and count checksums related to mail messages. The counts can be used by SMTP servers and mail user agents to detect and reject bulk mail. DCC servers can exchange common checksums. The checksums include values that are "fuzzy", or constant across common variations in bulk messages Inflex Added 2003-11-17 Inflex is an email scanner which encapsulates your existing sendmail server setup. It scans both incoming and outgoing email and it does not alter your current /etc/sendmail.cf file. It can scan for email viruses, unwanted file types (eg. EXE, BMP, MPEG) and file names (eg. prettypark.exe). It can also be used to scan for text snippets within emails and to insert disclaimers into outbound emails. darkstat Added 2003-11-07 Darkstat is an ntop-workalike network statistics gatherer. Built to be faster and smaller than ntop, it uses libpcap to capture network traffic and serves up Web page reports of statistics such as data transferred by host, port, and protocol. It also has a neat bandwidth usage graph. Nessus Added 2003-11-06 Nessus is a remote security scanner for Linux, BSD, Solaris, and other Unices. It is multi-threaded and plug-in-based, has a GTK interface, and performs over 500 remote security checks. It allows for reports to be generated in HTML, XML, LaTeX, and ASCII text, and suggests solutions for security problems. Browse by category |
