With its user-friendly interface, automatic failover, and smart recovery system, it is the complete tool for anyone wanting to manage bandwidth and network security. It uses a hierarchical class-based system which provides a logical, intuitive view of network classes along with their priorities. It has the ability to manage P2P applications such as Kazaa and the like, manage firewall and bandwidth by time of the day, precedence, strings in any packet, and much more. Diagnose your network by powerful reporting tools that drill down to IP, port, and protocol level with graph and pie charts. It is a self-contained system that offers simple installation by means of a bootable CD and ease of use via a Web based GUI. CleanPOP Added 2003-11-28 CleanPOP logs into a POP3 server and deletes messages which have had a local (or remote) spam header added to them, as well as messages that have been on the server for longer than a user-configurable amount of time. It helps you keep your POP3 mailbox clean, so you can use Webmail or download messages from your POP3 server to other machines without having to deal with spam. It correlates messages from your local mbox file with messages on the POP3 server, which means that you can use local antispam solutions to clean your remote inbox, and it never deletes an unfetched message, unlike other mail expiration scripts. Nas Groper Added 2003-11-26 The Nas Groper is a CGI application written in Perl. It depends on the Net-Snmp suite to retrieve SNMP OID variables from Cisco network access servers. It is a useful tool for Internet Service Providers to poll their Cisco NAS appliances for information on who is logged in, from where, and for how long. It also gives other valuable information on system operating variables. scr_ipfm Added 2003-11-26 scr_ipfm is a PHP script which graphically displays the amount of data downloaded by users in a local network. To do this, it uses logs generated by the ipfm program (available at http://robert.cheramy.net/ipfm/). scr_ipfm features the ability to sort by in-coming data size, out-going data size, total data size, or host. Daily, monthly, annual, and global statistics are gathered. ripMIME Added 2003-11-17 ripMIME extracts attachment files out of a MIME-encoded email pack. Intrusion Detection Exchange Architecture Added 2003-11-10 IDEA is an architecture for implementing a distributed intrusion detection system on a computer network. It provides a way to incorporate many different IDS sensors into an architecture, and have them report to a central IDS server. This server collects, aggregates, and correlates data from the sensors, providing a unified view of network activity. By specifying an open API, many different clients can connect to the IDEA server and "subscribe" to the event notification service so that the client will be notified any time a new alert is received from any of the sensors. Secure Data Manager Added 2003-11-10 Secure Data Manager (SDM) is a full-featured password manager application written entirely in Java. It stores logins and other private information for Web sites, computers, credit cards, etc. Anteater Added 2003-11-06 Anteater is a log analyser for MTA logfiles (such as those produced by sendmail and postfix). The tool is written in 100% C++ and is very easy to customize. Input, output, and the analysis are modular class objects with a clear interface. Currently, there are modules for reading the syslog format of sendmail and postfix that do up to eight useful analyses and write the result in plain ASCII or HTML, to stdout or to files. Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy Added 2003-10-23 The Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy (ASSP) Server project aims to create an open source platform independent SMTP Proxy server which implements whitelists and Bayesian filtering to help stop unsolicited commercial email (UCE). Anti-spam tools should be adaptive to new spam and customized for each site's email patterns. This easy to use tool works with any mail transport and achieves these goals requiring no operator intervention after the initial setup phase. Cryptomak Cipher Tools Added 2003-10-22 Cryptomak contains cipher and tools such as substitution, Vigenere, Affine, transposition and index of coincidence. Browse by category |
